Aoyama, Guilt Ridden Yuurei.

The ghost of a disgraced samurai who wished to deflower a young maid in his household despite his wife’s suspicions. He fooled the maid into thinking she had lost a valuable plate and, when she refused to give in to his desires to cover up her alleged “crime”, he killed her out of spite and threw her body into a nearby well.

The samurai was driven insane by the haunting wails of her disgruntled ghost and killed himself out of grief. Far from freeing his soul, he condemned himself to a deathtime of grieving and repentance. His karma attracted other ghastly beings into the manor, rendering it impure. He still clings to that plate over which the entire drama revolves.
